3 surfboards on one car.?
Q: So lately I've been going surfing with my friend, and I drive. We have a 7'8 board and a 9 foot. We strap them down to my car, which is a 2 door, and drive 17 to santa cruz for 20 miles. No problems at all, not even alot of vibration.
A: honestly with the stock racks that come with a two door car i dont think it is such a good idea because i have tried that on a similar car and we went over a bridge and the winds lifted the boards violently up and down tearin part of the rack out of the car ..we didnt lose the boards but it messed up the roof pretty bad .
Its alright ive seen five or six on one car just make sure you tie from east to west and north to south.

What are rack pads? (in regards to surfing)?
Q: Are they used to protect your kayak or surfboard from the roof of your car? This is what I'm guessing but I wanted to make sure.
