By Justin Cote MANLY, NSW/Australia (Thursday, 16 February, 2012) – The Australian Open of Surfing at Manly Beach presented by Hurley and Billabong ran a full day of the Men's ASP 6-Star division, with the top seeds hitting the water and putting on a Best surfboard for me, Al merrick POD 5'10, Al Merrick Dumpster Diver 5'4", or Al merrick Neckbeard 5'4"?Q: im 5'4" with an athletic build weighing in at about 140 lbs. more with a wetsuit on. i surf southern california mush surf. usually knee to a little overhead. i have a few boards to choose from, all three are so cal grovelers that should work well. Boards are boards. there is no specific brand that ppl should buy. its all about preference and looks when it comes to brands. When you're out there no one cares what kind of board you have but the skill. So def look for a board that you think is best for you.
Don't waste your time on line, we don't know anywhere nearly enough about you, or where you surf, how well you surf and we don't have an opportunity to discuss these things with you. We aren't your surfing buddies, we don't necessarily surf where you or know anybody who does. Go to a good local surf shop (or a shop where ever you usually surf) and discuss

It was 1:30 PM and he had been on the water 1.5 hours. He was 300 meters from shore over a rocky bottom 10 15 feet deep. Air and water temperatures were estimated in the mid-60s Fahrenheit. It was overcast with a mild 10 mph breeze and choppy seas with waves about 5 feet.
